Hello, I'm Tony Butler the editor, chief bottlewasher, and sole employee (unpaid) of The Nottinghamshire Times.
Lauched on 17th October 2006, The Nottinghamshire Times is a free and independent online literary magazine, not funded by, or owned by any other party.
I was born in 1942, one of six children who were raised in the beliefs of justice, freedom of speech, patriotism and a sense of duty to defend those unable to defend themselves. The way most of my contemporaries from poor working class families were raised.
Today, approaching my 65th birthday, such concepts are mocked and derided by the liberal elite; as is marriage, religion, and honour.
The results are plain to see.
As well as the articles, poetry, and short-stories, The Nottinghamshire Times also, in true Robin Hood tradition, challenges the deceit and sometimes blatant dishonesty of politicians.
