A
National Disgrace!
This Evil Prosecution Persecution of A Pensioner by Hackney Council
When Mr Gunther Verheugen a vice-president of the European Commission stated that it was
never intended to make selling goods by imperial measure a criminal offence,
and that Britain’s traders could carry on using them, you
may well have thought that was that. “A victory for the Metric Martyrs,”
proclaimed Mr Verheugen.
However, one should never underestimate the Orwellian
mentality of New Labour, especially that slither of self-righteous officials posing
as the public servants of Hackney.
In what could possibly be described as a vindictive prosecution, these odious bullies discovered that although the EU commission had changed its mind over metrication and publicly stated
that the Directive does not prohibit the use of Imperial weights measures but, the directive has yet to be removed from our legislation.
What a perfect victim 63-year-old Janet Denver will
make for she is a sister of of Colin Hunt - one of the original five ‘Metric
Martyrs’.
Let there be no mistake: this is a malicious
prosecution. An act of petty spite for the vindication of the Metric Martyrs, by mean minded minions. A prosecution that serves no other purpose except their own personal gratification. It may well be deemed an improper use of the law.
But equally appalling is that part of the legislation
due to take force in 2010 prohibits not only the use of Imperial Measures, but any
reference to them by speech or the written word.
“Five-foot-two, eyes of blue.”
“Six foot long and six-foot down,”
“He never gave an inch.”
“Sixteen-stone and what do you get?”
Taken to court by Hackney Council and a criminal
record, after 2009.
How is it possible that such draconian legislation was
allowed to become law without any public discussion?
What other jackboot legislation has already been quietly
slipped into place that is designed to eradicate anything designated as being
English?
Could it be that there is a co-ordinated conspiracy to obliterate
the English way of life, its customs and traditions by stealth?
Are the English under
attack and if so is it not time we started to retaliate?
And isn’t it metrication that has removed the need to
do arithmetic? The need to learn and remember Imperial measures has been
replaced by what?
Decimalising our currency was mistake. As children under the British coinage we soon learned how many pennies made a shilling and how many pence and shillings made a pound. I never knew any of my contemporaries who couldn’t add up their money.
Now kids have no need to use their brains - they don't. Use it or lose it, as the saying goes.
They should make excellent politicians.
Metrication is for morons, that’s why they like it.
