EU President Threatens Our Democracy
and Freedom
The unelected EU President,Von Rompuy has attacked those
advocating leaving the EU, as the enemies of peace. However, apparently he does not object to David
Cameron’s brand of EU sceptisism, which does nothing to stem the extension of
EU power over Britain.
This pompous Eurocrat, on the eve of Armistice Day,
displaying about as much sensitivity a dormant dormouse, dared to say that
those who seek freedom from the EU Socialist State are a threat to peace.
“The idea that it is possible for nations to exist as
sovereign states within a global economy is a lie,” he said, but the dishonesty
of his statement is apparent. Norway
and Switzerland flourish
outside the EU, and when Britain
withdraws from the EU, as it surely will, we shall not be alone.
There is no barrier preventing the independent sovereign
countries of Europe forming a Trading Pact,
employing their purchasing power for the benefit of their citizens, while
retaining control of their individual countries affairs.
I would remind, Mr.Von Rompuy of the statement
made by Samuel Adams, the ‘Father of the American Revolution’ when urging his
countrymen to fight for their independence from British rule, made the
following statement in the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776.
“If ye love wealth better
than liberty,
the tranquility of
servitude
better than the animated
contest of freedom,
go home from us in peace.
We ask not your counsels or
your arms.
Crouch down and lick the
hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly
upon you,
And may posterity forget
that you were our countrymen.”
And so the USA was born, America, the land of the free.
Today, Samuel
Smith would be an enemy of peace, according to Von Rompuv’s crazed notion, and
those of us who seek national independence
from the EU are enemies of the state.
"We have
together to fight the danger of a new Euroscepticism. This is no longer the
monopoly of a few countries," he said. "In every member state, there
are people who believe their country can survive alone in the globalised world.
It is more than an illusion: it is a lie."
No, Mr. Van Rompuv
your statement is pure fantasy, born of desperation as the EU slowly fragments. Eventually it will, like The Tower of Babel, collapse and become yet 'another lesson to be learned' and then . . . forgotten.
So, sod you, Mr. Von
Rompuv, the EU and its Parliament.
Be warned, we British will take our country out of the EU!
