The Nottinghamshire Times is a literary magazine dedicated to good writing. The main content of this issue of our magazine: articles, short stories, poetry, and regular columns, have all been written by writers
with a strong Nottinghamshire connection.
We do, however, accept articles, fiction and poetry, from writers outside of Nottinghamshire. Though all genres of fiction are welcome, but as our readership includes children, prose should not contain, foul language, graphic violence, or explicit love scenes.
One such writer is sixteen-year old, Laura Van Bordern, who lives in Ohio, USA, has written a book called, 'Ashland', about a girl who wants to join Robin Hood and his merry men.
Laura has kindly agreed to let us serialise her book, and you can read an installment of 'Ashland' in this issue.
If you write to a professional standard, and would like to submit a piece of your work to us, then we would be pleased to hear from you.
Our readers are also invited to become active participants in our magazine by airing their views in our 'Email's to the Editor' pages. Or perhaps you would like to become our local reporter for your area, or school?
Email us with your suggestions.
The Nottinghamshire Times can be your magazine if you would like it to be.

Articles & Short Stories should not exceed
1500 words.
Flash fiction length = 250 words.

Payment for material
Until the magazine becomes established we are
unable to offer payment for material. We would, however, expect to eventually be
earning enough revenue, from our 'Familly Celebration' announcements and 'Portfolios for Writers', to enable us to make token
payments to our writers. The better the magazine, then the more people will log onto us. Therefore, we are seeking to establish
a pool of exceptional writers who will travel forward with us, and together we
will create the best online literary magazine on the market.
Please note: Our authors retain the copyright of their material.
